Hi! I am Nicole Kuzara, the Membership Advisor at InUnison! I am excited to answer your questions as you navigate your membership benefits.
I could not live without Toast, Ruby Scoops, or Strange’s! There are SO MANY more businesses I frequent day to day, but I don’t think we have enough time for that!

Hi Jolinda! Urban Hang Suite is a great spot to grab a coffee, sandwich, and get some work done in between meetings. Can’t wait to try Riverbend Roastery – thanks for mentioning them!

Hi, I’m Catherine Cary, President of Bremo Pharmacies. We work hard to help our patients reach the best possible heath through excellent pharmacy care. Our tagline is “Bremo Pharmacy: Small Pharmacy, Big Hearts.” We are located in the Crossroads Shopping center, along with another local favorite, the Crossroads Art Center. They are a favorite local business because they provide a venue for local artists to shine. Also, Jenni is always supporting the Richmond Community.
-
Hi Catherine! Crossroads and Jenni are great! So glad to see you part of the community of InUnison.
-
Hi Catherine! That tag line gets me every time, and as a customer I can vouch that its 100% true! You have such a fun neighborhood over there – can you believe Crossroads just celebrated 20 years!

Hi – Sarah Paxton with LaDIFF here! I am grateful to Mamie’s Apothecary for providing my husband with Activate CBD Balm for his aching back from moving all the boxes & furniture around before our BIG MOVE!

Hello InUnison Family!
My Name is Rudy Garcia. I have two businesses Global View Capital Advisors and Rivanna Woods Financial Tax Services. I have been involved with the organization (and its predecessor RMA) since 2008. I have stayed this long because of two things:
1. The friends and experiences I have collected along the way.
2. The organization’s commitment to Growing Local BusinessesAs a solopreneur, I have found that it can be really lonely out there. Having a network of professionals all sharing the same goal of helping each other succeed has been invaluable to helping me grow and thrive in my two businesses. I am SOOOOO excited to see where the next part of my InUnison journey takes me!

Hi Everyone,
I’m Stephen Story, President at James River Transportation. We provide a big variety of passenger transportation services utilizing many different vehicle types. With 94 years of experience, we have done it all. Puritan Cleaners is one of my “go to” RVA businesses. Not just for cleaning, but for alterations too. You should see the special running gloves they altered so my palms don’t sweat (tmi). Puritan is also one of the many RVA companies that contribute huge amounts of time and resources to benefit our community!!!

Hello,
I am Nicholas Orenduff. First of all, congratulations to the InUnison team for a successful re-branding and strategy pivot. I look forward to seeing the organization continue to thrive.
At Orenduff & Associates, we’ve been guiding our clients to sound personal and business financial decisions since 1974. My family and I eat out almost every weekend at Kuba Kuba. They can’t live without the Tres Leches. -
Hi everyone, this is Steve Rosser and I’m the owner of Gelati Celesti Ice Cream. We have 7 locations in the Richmond area and two stores in Virginia Beach. Our company has been providing a “moment of pure joy” for 38 years and we look forward to continued growth in Central Virginia.
Today I’m wearing a pair of pants that I purchased at my favorite clothing store; Franco’s Fine Clothier—love shopping there!
-
Hi Steve! Congrats to you and the team on the new Mechanicsville store opening this week!

Hi everyone!
I’m Jordan Hanna, and I am the Director of Sales + Marketing at Hatch Richmond. We are Richmond’s Food and Beverage Business Incubator, with a commissary kitchen, contract packager, and storage + inventory management warehouse. We work with many well-known local small businesses such as Nightingale, The Mayor Meats, Sous Casa, Joyebells Sweet Potato Pies, Kate Uncorked, Human Food RVA, 1115 Mobile Kitchen and more!
One local business I can’t live without would probably be my favorite family-owned sushi spot, Jing! :)
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about any of our services at Hatch, I’d love to chat! jordan@hatchrichmond.com

Hi Jordan! I’ve heard such good things about Jing, and it’s just around the corner from me – Thanks for the reminder…I think I’m having sushi for dinner!

Hiya everyone! I’m Amanda Slone, co-owner of Beasties in Carytown. We sell everything from baby and wedding gifts to local products and Richmond souvenirs. I always say we had more rhyme and reason, now we order whatever entertains us!
One business I couldn’t live without is Ladles and Linens Kitchen Shoppe. Not only is an amazing store with everything you need, but manager Courtney and owner Sarah have been my go-to friends in the area and so supportive during the pandemic. I don’t know what I would do without them!
Looking forward to connecting more with everyone <3

Hi Amanda! I’m so grateful for your wrapping station, you saved the day more than once!

Hello! I’m Lauren, co-owner of Erma Jean – a sister-owned women’s clothing business. We strive to bring women classic, effortless styles that are sensibly priced. We started online offering apparel, shoes and accessories in 2019 (based out of Midlothian) and opened our first brick and mortar store in January 2022 in Short Pump.
We are excited to join the business community. A few other small businesses we’ve come to know and love are Monday Morning Press and L&M Company. Looking forward to the conversation!

Hi Lauren! I absolutely love your shop, I’ve sent a few friends and they are hooked too!

Hello InUnison Community!
I’m Anne Poarch, Founder
of BASKET & BIKE. We are a bicycle tour and rental business providing leisurely bike excursions and picnic rides on the Virginia Capital Trail and in Richmond, and we have a retail shop on Shockoe Slip. Here you can hop on one of our classic bike tours, try out an electric bike, sample a Segway or a Trolley through partner, RVA on Wheels, to soak up the best of Richmond. That’s not all! We sell chic bike merch, including Nantucket bike baskets with hand made liners designed when I started this business, to encourage biking as a fashionable, and functional way of getting around the city. We encourage biking as a way to reduce short car trips, as a way to help the environment, and as a way to press pause for moments of reflection on who we are as a citizen of not only Virginia, but of our natural world. We give back $5 of every persons tour to local conservation groups. We are extremely proud of the partnerships we have made with local businesses and non profits to foster community, and I am excited to be joining InUnison and look forward to furthering that impact with your great model. As for local business must-have? I adore Apothec on Libbie Avenue, my personal favorite spot in Richmond for an oasis experience everytime I visit. Thank you InUnison! I look forward to meeting so many of you and have enjoyed reading the intros.
Anne
PS I’m also a writer and published poet so pardon that I am often challenged with brevity in the written word! -
Hi! I’m Christine Winder, and I’m the Account Director for Think. We’re a branding agency specializing in identity, design, and web.
Local businesses I can’t live without? So many. As a native Richmonder, I love any and everything from Ukrops, most of my wardrobe is from Clementine’s, and Väsen is my favorite brewery in town.
