I’m Ken Wayland President of Free Agents Marketing; we connect talented Free Agents with businesses in need of Strategic Marketing Support. At Free Agents we reimbursed our staff 100% for taking a colleague and/or client to a locally owned restaurant. There are so many great restauranteurs in RVA……it’s time to break the Chain.

What a great idea Ken! Do you remember what restaurants your staff chose? I’m always on the hunt for a good date night suggestion.

My husband and I always have the best date nights at Helen’s in the Fan. Kid date nights – Toast (almost weekly!) or Jack Browns for fried Oreo’s. Oh and then there is En Su Boca’s patio…and Twin Hickory Tavern’s Sunday Mimosas, and the view at the Boathouse at Sunday Park…I think I could go on and on!

Great list Nicole! I love Helen’s too – I need to make it back there soon.

I love the theme of “Break the Chain”! I totally agree, meeting at Shore Dog for a tea or Capital Ale for a beer is always such a better experience with a client than a national brand.

Hi everyone!
Jordan from Hatch Richmond here. Being that I work with so many small food and beverage businesses – they utilize our shared commissary kitchen to make their products – I am constantly looking for connections to local vendors for them. If you are interested in carrying locally made products in your store/market/grocery, let’s chat! :)
You can respond here or email me at jordan@hatchrichmond.com and I will add your info to my sheet of contacts for members, or if you’re looking for items in particular (simple syrups, vegan foods, pies, pierogis, etc.) I can connect you directly!

Great idea- I think we could start a thread here, let me check into that!
