New · Launching October 1, 2026

Membership, optimized around what your business needs to succeed.

This October, we’re introducing a simpler membership built around Your People, Your Intel, and Your Advocate because running a local business shouldn’t mean figuring it all out alone. Join the waitlist to be the first to benefit when memberships launch.

Already an InUnison member? Nothing changes until October 1 — your current membership and access continue exactly as they are, and we’ll walk you through your options individually before anything moves.

Three pillars, in every membership

Every membership level is built with these three pillars.

Your People

Build relationships that help your business thrive. Connect with fellow business leaders, industry peers, mentors, and a community that understands the challenges you’re facing.

Your Intel

Stay ahead with trusted business insights. Receive practical updates, expert education, research, and timely information that helps you make better decisions.

Your Advocate

A stronger voice for your business. From local issues to state policy, InUnison works to represent and advance the interests of the business community.

What members say

“Honestly, InUnison is all about the people. To be in a room where so many Richmond businesses and organizations are represented – all who care deeply about the Richmond community – is invaluable.”

“The insights we gained have continued to influence our development strategy and foster a culture of innovation within our company.”

“Seeing how business owners in our roundtable, despite being in very different industries, often share similar struggles has been truly enlightening. It’s been incredibly refreshing to share experiences and brainstorm solutions to our challenges together.”

Three ways to belong.

InUnison membership levels are designed for businesses at every stage – flexible monthly subscriptions that grow with you.

Take the Membership Quiz

About a minute. Three questions.

We’ll match you with which tier could be the best fit.

Nancy Thomas, President and CEO of InUnison

“We’ve been listening to local businesses across the region, and this new membership structure is what came out of it. Our mission hasn’t changed: InUnison exists for local, independent businesses that want to grow while staying independent, and there’s a tier built for every one of them.”

Questions, answered

Yes. Whether you’ve been part of InUnison for years or you’re just discovering us, this is the membership structure taking effect October 1, 2026 — there’s no separate path for new members. Joining the waitlist now means you’ll be one of the first to activate as a Core, Individual, or Team member as soon as it opens. The questions below are mainly for current members working out what changes for them specifically.

Nothing changes today. Between now and October 1, we’ll walk every member through their options individually, and your current membership and access will continue exactly as they are.

Yes. You can move between tiers anytime – if your business grows, adds team members, or just needs a different level of access, you can manage your membership with the same flexibility that exists today.

If you’re a paid member, your membership moves into whichever tier fits you best – Core, Individual, or Team – on your renewal date. If you’re currently a free member, nothing starts automatically: you’ll need to sign up for the Core trial to begin your 60 days, and then choose to continue as a paying member once the trial ends.

It depends on where you’re starting:

  • Basic members: Core keeps your access about the same at a lower cost, and Individual or Team open up more, including mentorship and full roundtable access.
  • Premium members: Team keeps everything you have today at the exact same price. Individual is available at a lower cost if only one person from your business participates.
  • Free members: Core is the closest match, with a full 60-day trial before anything is charged.

Take the quiz above for a personalized look, or reach out to Robert Thomas, our Member Relations Advisor, anytime.

For paid members: If we haven’t heard from you by October 1, we’ll do our best to place you in the membership option that most closely matches how you’ve engaged so far. Before any changes are finalized, we’ll reach out to confirm with you.

For free members: Since the new membership requires you to opt in, taking no action means your free access will end on October 1. You won’t be automatically enrolled in the new membership.

It depends on where you’re starting. Premium moves to Team at the exact same price. Basic moves to Core at a lower cost. If you’re currently a free member, Core does introduce a cost for the first time, $25/month after your 60-day trial, but it also bundles in things you’d otherwise pay for separately, like events, and opens the door to roundtables and mentorship if Individual or Team turns out to be a better fit.

Nothing changes before your renewal date. You’ll keep the access you already paid for through the end of your current term, at the level that most closely matches your membership today. When your annual renewal comes up, that’s when you’ll move into the new tier that fits you best, and Robert will walk through the options with you before anything changes.
