What did you want to be as a child?
An entrepreneur of some sort. I think I wanted to be a freelance commercial creator. SO In advertising!

What local business can you not live without?
The Mini Bar RVA they have amazing food. My favorite are the Hennessy Wings.

What’s the first thing you do every morning to set the tone for your day?
I turn on some good music. Particularly Optimistic by Sounds of Blackness.

What tool, object, or ritual could you not live without in your workday?
My MUSIC and awesome playlist. I have a particular type of playlist for each product I make.

How did you come up with the name for your business?
I wanted something Arabic that embodied my work. Adiva is Arabic for pleasant and gentle. أضيف

How did you get the idea for your business?
By creating things in my youth to heal my psoriasis struggle.

What does the world need more of?
Love, Understanding of each other, and peace.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
To be able to communicate in every language.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Richmond when you’re not in your business?
Either enjoy the trails at Rockwood Park or hanging out at the river at Rocketts Landing with friends.

What’s your hidden talent?
I can human beat box.( making beats with my mouth lol)

What was the first concert you ever attended?
I don’t remember but I think it was Grace Jones in Central Park.

Who do you look up to and why?
My Father and Grandmothers. They were and are incredible people that had imagination. They are mental giants, resilient, community leaders. They always encouraged my ideas and helped nurture any venture I ever had.

What do you love most about Richmond?
The Nature. I really love the rivers and all the many trails that lead to them.

What’s the best thing about being a local business owner? 
I get to do things exactly how I want to and serve the community in a healthy helpful way at the same time.
