Mentorship
A mentor who has been there.
Get matched with an experienced local business owner or leader for a year of one-on-one conversation, perspective and support as you work toward your goals. InUnison facilitates the match and provides structure along the way.
Included with Individual and Team membership.
What mentorship is
A year built for growth.
You and your mentor meet regularly over the course of a year, with the conversation shaped around your goals, challenges and decisions. InUnison helps make the match, provides a simple framework and checks in along the way.
Someone who understands the job
Talk candidly with someone who knows the realities of leading a business.
Perspective outside your business
Step outside the day-to-day and get another experienced point of view.
A place to work through decisions
Use your conversations to think through opportunities, challenges and next steps.
Consistency over time
Build a relationship that develops over a full year rather than a single conversation.
The two tracks
Choose the mentorship track that fits your role.
Both tracks share the same five-session shape. What differs is the job the relationship is doing.
Problem-solving
Business Owner Track
For owners who want to learn from another experienced business owner.
“What’s the one challenge that, if I solved it, would change my business – and how do I get traction on it?”
Developmental
Team Member Track
For employees and emerging leaders looking to grow their leadership skills, confidence and perspective with support from an experienced business leader. Participants can sign up independently – a team member doesn’t need to go through their business’s membership holder to request a mentor.
“Where do I want to grow, and what will it take to get there?”
What to expect
A year with a clear arc.
A one-year mentorship with at least five one-on-one meetings. InUnison provides a simple framework to help guide the relationship from the first conversation through the end of the year.

Quarter 4
Reflect and plan what’s next
Look back on what you have learned, where you have made progress and what you want to carry forward.
Inside each two-hour session
A consistent shape, so no one has to invent an agenda.

Common questions
About ten to twelve hours over the year: a one-hour intro session plus four two-hour working sessions, roughly every 90 days. The commitments you set between sessions take whatever time you decide to give them.
You complete a short interest form, and InUnison staff make the match based on your goals, your track, and where you are in your career. You don’t have to find a mentor yourself.
No – you work with one mentor at a time. Mentors take on no more than two mentees in a year, so the relationship gets real attention.
Yes. Confidentiality is expected of both mentor and mentee, and you reaffirm it together in the first session.
Session four is a genuine close. The pair decides together: opt into a lighter second year, graduate, or wrap up. A second year is always optional, never an obligation.

We consider your goals, experience, leadership challenges, business stage and what you hope to get from the relationship. A strong match is not always someone in your exact industry. Sometimes the most useful perspective comes from someone with different experience who understands the kinds of challenges you are navigating.
